Following my last post there’s been a good response, so thanks to those who have shared their points of view.
What’s been said so far, is the belief that attempts to regulate television news plays into the terrorist’s hands and may lead to restriction of our civil liberties. On the other hand there’s also concern that by giving undue coverage to terrorist atrocities, we equally play into their hands by disrupting our normal activities and encouraging copy-cat behaviour.
I’ve collected some of these misgivings into a Code of Practice for Television News where you can see what we’ve arrived at so far.
The Naked Vocational Trainer
On leaving school, I began training as an electrical technician with BT in central London. At the age of forty, following a varied career, I went on to gain 26 years experience in further education as a lecturer and NVQ assessor/verifier. I am a retired member of the Institute of Engineering & Technology and have published a text book (The Nuts and Bolts of Training and Assessment) which covers a variety of training methods and training principles. My book is intended to provide an accessible introduction for those starting a career in vocational training.

I really love your website.. Excellent colors & theme. Did you create
this website yourself? Please reply back as I’m looking to
create my own blog and would love to know where you got this
from or just what the theme is called. Appreciate it!

Hi Ig, thank you for your encouraging comments. I have done all the work, I’ve been learning as I go and WordPress help on Google usually does the trick – if not you can email them directly. I cannot remember the theme name but it one of the free ones found in WordPress themes, the banner photo and the other graphics are all mine. You can purchase graphics of suitable quality along with copyright permission from: http://www.istockphoto.com/ One last thought, if you email a screen shot of my front page to WordPress they may be able to help. Best of luck and thanks once again for your encouragement. Cheers Eric
